Tell me, will you please?

Tell me, will you please?
That afternoon
when you ran your finger on my chest
what were you scribbling?

Were they circles of satiation
or triangles of guilt?
Or spirals of confusion?
Tell me, will you please?

Maybe you were signing your name,
or writing mine,
or maybe his.
Tell me, will you please?

Sharpens a need that cannot be named - the craving to be the one you are talking about

Triangles of guilt, spirals of confusion... life coming to full circle?

    simply superb...
may be i would have preferred one more line..
    just think about it..

    Were they circles of satiation
    or triangles of guilt?
    Or spirals of confusion?
    Or squares of contentment
    Tell me, will you please?

    Loved it

I feel the vulnerability that permeates the entire poem… That’s what makes honesty so beautiful.

  9. yeah I know I am late, but better late than never..
Reading this I wonder why don't you write poems more often, along with prose?
I think you are too good at both.. keep them coming...:)
